In The Sunshine was created for the Picture frame competition in Hammersmith.
Barons Court Project is the only day centre in Hammersmith and Fulham to support people who are homeless and/or living with mental health conditions. John learned to paint over 20 years ago as part of a programme for people experiencing homelessness. Now he paints every day. Art helps him to manage depression and anxiety: “It is as if things just happen; as if things flow through my hands and just develop into a painting... I live inside paint.”
